Social notifications are delivered by provider callbacks to Flamey’s backend. The dashboard does not poll providers and does not run recurring refresh requests.

Twitch

Immediate stream online notifications through Twitch EventSub.

YouTube

Immediate new upload notifications through YouTube WebSub.

TikTok

TikTok Login Kit authorization and account lifecycle management.
TikTok’s public Login Kit and Display API do not provide a webhook for videos uploaded organically in the TikTok application. Flamey does not poll TikTok as a fallback, so ordinary TikTok upload notifications cannot be enabled. TikTok authorization is retained for account identity, revocation handling, and supported Content Posting API events.

Adding Twitch or YouTube

Open Social Notifications

Select a server in the dashboard and open Social Notifications.

Choose a provider

Enter a Twitch username or YouTube handle/channel ID. Flamey resolves and validates the provider account server-side.

Choose the Discord destination

Select a text or announcement channel where Flamey has View Channel and Send Messages permissions. Optionally select one role to mention.

Save

Flamey immediately creates the Twitch EventSub or YouTube WebSub subscription. The status changes from Connecting to Connected after provider verification.

TikTok Authorization

TikTok authorization uses OAuth 2.0 with PKCE and a one-time, guild-bound state. The backend exchanges the callback code, fetches the account identity, encrypts access and refresh tokens at rest, and redirects to the selected server’s Social Notifications page. Disconnecting attempts provider revocation and always removes local credentials and dependent configuration. Required TikTok Login Kit scopes:
  • user.info.basic
  • video.list
Redirect URIs must match exactly:
  • Development: http://localhost:30295/api/auth/tiktok/callback
  • Production: https://api.flamey.app/api/auth/tiktok/callback
The production webhook URL is https://api.flamey.app/api/webhooks/tiktok/events. Configure TikTok’s signing secret in the backend and subscribe only to events enabled for the approved TikTok application products.

Twitch Permissions

Twitch stream.online EventSub webhook subscriptions use a server-side app access token from the client credentials grant. Broadcasters do not log in to Twitch and no broadcaster OAuth scopes are required. Configure the callback as https://api.flamey.app/api/webhooks/twitch/eventsub and provide a strong EventSub secret.

Reliability

Provider signatures and callback timestamps are validated before processing. Delivery identifiers are persisted to prevent duplicates. Failed Discord deliveries remain retryable and return a retryable response to the provider; successful and duplicate events are acknowledged. Subscription revocations update connection state immediately, and missing subscriptions are reconciled once when the backend starts. Backend debug logs include provider, event type, public event identifiers, feed identifiers, connection status, and sanitized errors. Logs never include access tokens, client secrets, signing secrets, or provider payload bodies.
